transition time

I remember those first two years back in civies!! Ugh! By contrast, the civilian world lacks any discipline and I was in a constant state of annoyed because of it. In fact, I was scheduled to re-up a third term until I met my husband.
Why should (military) service to others be either side of an electric fence?!
Transitioning is a constant toward better and better that welcomes everyone.
Proudly wearing the uniform you look so sharp in, or that soul looking back while you brush your teeth half naked, you are one person created in His image to be a child of the King in all your glory…. your whole life, forever, halleluiah, amen!
So let’s get rid of the scary notion of “when this ends”. Let’s tap into your awesomeness now and keep going.
Because as we all know,…
“No matter where you go, there you are!”
the humor behind “rejection”

“When we take rejection personally, it is a reflection of our own self worth and it’s something that needs to be worked on. So how’s the best way to work on it? Go get rejected! And keep getting rejected until you get over it.” —Gary Young—
Ego is a funny fellow! Learn to laugh with him.
If someone says “no” when you offer to tell them everything you know about your YL AromaEase essential oil blend, and where it comes from, how it’s distilled properly, and how it totally calmed your blood pressure,… so what?!! You did a nice thing willing to help! Appreciate the honesty and good information. This is not the person you get to help today!
Like when you invite someone on a date and they “reject” you. Plllewww! If they can’t recognize what a great catch you are, they probably aren’t the right one for you. You keep going till you and that right person find each other. Hint there,… you find each other!
So who IS praying for your help today? Talk with them.

Mending a broken heart.
Then this reminder that laugher is just waiting for us to let it fly! Oh my, our Gary was always another laugh waiting to happen…. here at the farm he’s torn between helping me out of the water, or pushing me in.
He pushed! 😊
Last week’s post from “Essential Oil Products we use most” here on IcedTeaTalks, I shared a picture of my makeshift hot tub and its 320 bottles of used oils!
Until you have another stash of empty bottles to do the same, you might drip a few favorite Young Living oils to the area on your body that will benefit most from that particular essential oil or blend….. THEN a dip in the tub or shower like I do so the water drives the oils in even deeper.
AVOID HOT OILS such as Oregano, Thyme, Lemongrass, and all Citruses. Hot, yet great you know you can trust the purity of YL oils won’t hurt you,… and (wink) you’ll only forget once!!
the world where we’re all equal

The playing field is leveled to the fact that any American, living in America, is at very least stretched out on the doorstep of “The American Dream”.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you – Matthew 7:7
September 10th, MSN posted a newsflash of pictures featuring the poorest county in each of the 50 United States. Most were more than 25, 35, or even at 45% poverty level!
The profession of Network Marketing is designed to be as simple as a food co-op, a family. Elders teaching the next generation how to look out for each other while we all do our own part. Which is to do your own shopping from the company, and collect decisions as others decide what is best for them. Show them to do the same and offer knowledge from your experiences.
I do believe that as a trained Network Marketer, I am part of something bigger that is our best chance for true health and time freedom and an unmatched backup retirement plan!
So, when I get excited to show and tell and invite you to work with me together, WE UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER, Yes?! 😊

Chocolate Covered Raspberries!! My favorite I learned from Godiva years ago. But they were seasonal and my craving is not 😉
State Fruit Chocolate-Covered Strawberries pictured here are recommended as one of Amazon’s top gift choices.
If you’re like me though, it’s quite sexy stirring melted chocolate and dipping favorite fruits you’ve handpicked with loving intention.
Raspberries, Blackberries, Dried Apricots, Grapes
Ikea Dark Chocolate bars, Moser Roth, or Ghirardelli with cocoa as high as 70% are my favorites melting smooth and easy in a pan that’s sitting above a pot of low boiling water. Do not cover to hurry the melting process, or allow water or steam in any way to make contact with the chocolate. Yuk! Melting is easy, just remember you’re not helping by putting a lid on it.
As soon as the chocolate is fluid, it’s time to dip!
Any hotter than that could cook and mushy up your delicate berries.
BETTER YET, first timers might even just cluster your berries on parchment paper atop a cookie sheet. Then drizzle the chocolate from above. The cookie sheet is so you can move your berries to a cool counter to set, or to the fridge for 5-minutes. And the parchment (or waxed paper) is so you don’t need a chisel!!
Seriously, it would be a challenge to ruin anything chocolate covered! It’s gonna melt in your mouth again anyway. Just have fun and enjoy!!
valentines’ day flowers

Yep, the picture here has plenty of florals, herbals, and pines aromatically transforming the garden tub!
Valentine’s Day at our house is first and foremost our wedding anniversary, then the ‘American Greetings’ moment, and this year it is easy to gift my husband for both!
- A healing soak in the last drops from 320 bottles of essential oils
- A healing purge tossing out 320 empty bottles!
😊
How do you recycle the last drops of your precious oils?!!
NOTE: Before warming the tub tonight, these bottles are first opened and soaking in cold water so that, as the last drops of oil are extracted, it doesn’t soften the label and add glue to the mix.
it begins with eyebrows

Did you know that?? When Disney artists introduce a new character, they first draw the eyebrows.
That’s where personality is expressed!
So next time you walk into a room nervous to make eye contact, look anyone else in the eyes and think to yourself,…
“I can’t believe how much we have in common”!!
Now you can approach them relaxed and open to discover exactly what that something is!
It is easy to talk with folks like us, right?!!
Even if the only thing you have in common is that you both have eyebrows.
BONUS: For the best brows tutorial I’ve ever seen, I share with you the fulltime class act of Dominique Sachse!
best salmon you’ve ever made

An Iced Tea 😉 fresh brewed and “The Chew” series was my addiction till we know that was taken from my lunch hour!
Now “Hell’s Kitchen”, Season 18, is down to the final three competitors and, oh, how I’ll miss my cooking shows! Chef Gordon Ramsay lives in such incredibly deep passion, that it took years to understand my own passions before I now appreciate his.
In a fleeting television moment, I picked up this nugget when the talents of Chef Chris Motto of Baton Rouge, called the command to remedy someone else’s rejected salmon dish, SEAR SKIN, [then] 6-MINUTES IN THE OVEN!
And that quickly, my cast iron skillet and a 350° oven and I were about to make the best salmon I’ve ever, ever, ever tasted! internal temp happened to make the 125 degrees (110 to 125° Fahrenheit or 43 to 52° Celsius) on a meat thermometer
Thank you, Chef Motto! God bless Baton Rouge!
