….. my knees have remained an issue of weakness that I am healing from. Knees represent our ease of flexibility moving forward. HA! and ouch! Flexible has been uncomfortable and sometimes downright knocked me down to give up on the couch. Maybe for you it’s change that wants to lock your joints. That’s a blessing opportunity to recalibrate!! Thank you Lord! So after reading my two previous postcards, you already figured out that what my body wanted was more JOY. A couple drops of YL Joy essential oil blend direct on my knees took the edge right off and I was able to lift my own weight out of the chair and walk without hesitation!! Anyone else excited to experience even MORE JOY into your day??! Everyday!!

..… today I woke with the most innocent peace. I was taken to the memory of greeting the morning as a trusting child. “Nothin’ but net”!!
So the other fun fact is that with this sense of overwhelm I can experience, nightmares are frequent. Yet last night, not only NO NIGHTMARES, but I also had a beautiful dream of drinking Green Smoothies and laughing and laughing with the very woman who introduced me to this power of listening to our words. And honoring those words. Without judgement, without blame. Listening only to empower ourselves with the underlying cause of our experiences, emotion and physical, giving us tools to break free; when we are ready to let go. … and a flash course in Conscious Languaging.
I’m not a fan of labeling or name calling (which I consider the same consequence) except the first time I was referred to as “an Empathic”. It comes from the Greek word meaning “passion” and that I am! She was referring to the spiritual gift to experience and share others’ pain. The bottom line being that when the world is hurting, I wake up sad until I can catch my breath to make the conscious decision to override what is otherwise overwhelming. Last week was too much and, as I considered the conscious language of my knees through words “too painful to move forward with no joy”…. AND THERE IT WAS!….. JOY. I decided a diffuser of YL JOY essential oil blend timed to wake me each morning will be just the ticket. I didn’t take time to change out my diffuser as it was late enough but instead simply put a drop of the oil blend on my heart, deep breathing in the fragrant aroma, and then the bottle to my nightstand. Seriously!! Orange oil!! You’ve heard my story… both legs fractured across the shins… at the same time… three months in bed. Nine months later, I squatted to clean a litter box and without full strength yet to lift my weight, standing up I re-injured my knee.
It’s manageable and I knew I wasn’t done learning from the pain. I was content Young Living oils are healing my scars! Last week I wore a dress again for the first time!!
I was content anyway till this weekend. I was so motivated cleaning that I pushed and pushed through the pain, changing my shoes 6 or 7 times to reposition how my weight landed. I finally told my husband how close I am giving into therapy. He knows that’s serious pain talkin’. Immediately he had me sit down and anointed my legs with the entire YL Raindrop Series. Our kit was out of Wintergreen and for whatever reason, I grabbed Orange as a quick fill in. When he splashed a few drops of YL Orange essential oil and swiped his hand over my scars, I felt the palm of his hand LITERALLY, like a paper towel commercial, pull and wipe up every cell of pain. Localized Vitamin C deficiency?? You should see me walk now! And dance!!

Good news, my hair looks great! Anyone else add their own low-lites at home? Who knew that a quarter size dollop of brown hair dye, can actually also dye a quarter size brown patch smack in the middle of an otherwise all white bathroom vanity?! Ha! I was shocked! That brown stain was not pulling out for nothin’! Nail polish remover is about the only chemical in our house and I know that would scrap the factory finish. Fortunately, I also know how clean my mouth feels with our YL Thieves AromaBright Toothpaste so, with no panic of safety, I rubbed in a dab of the toothpaste and let it rest on the spot while I finished primping. Of course the stain lifted!! No one will ever have to know what happened! Except my husband will surely have questions when this postcard blog lands in his e-mail inbox tonight! 🙂

At all costs, I dodge a sunburn. But when you’re having too much fun, or too much landscape, there you have it! So even though it was formulated to work on cellulite, in this August heat remember our YL Cel-lite Magic Massage Oil is another option we have to work on skin damage already done. Its Grapefruit Oil is noted for relieving skin cancers (also increases photo-sensitivity so don’t apply within 8-12-hours before sun exposure). Not only did the oil moisturize and calm the heat coming off his shoulders, but dear hubby’s skin only shed past the line as far as he could reach with the oils. Next time I’ll help with application. Honey, I’m so sorry about the bee sting!! Wasp, bee, whatever! Pain traveling halfway up his arm in an instant! It was dark and dear husband was helping me move flower pots. Seems his hand was where the bee had already claimed for the night and ZAP! But on the other side of the front door was our bottle of YL Purification oil for such unplanned events (bee, mosquito, spider, tick, flea, etc). That’s why it is in Young Living’s Premium Starter Kit!! Life happens to all of us! So a drop of this amazing blend of essential oils onto the hole the stinger left behind. Oh the pits of a computer crash. No exclamation mark. I’m not excited. I’ve lost a lot of work, years of work. I recalibrate honoring scripture “ALL things work to the good of those who love the Lord”.
