The nerve of my own ZYTO reading this past week, says I really really need me some YL Elemi oil…… “Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) has a spicy, incense-like scent that is soft and somewhat balsamic. Ugh! guess who woke up with a heavy throat! That would be the same person who yesterday was out cutting and gathering aged pines and junipers along with all their dusty pollen. Fortunately for me, I know that when the “ugh” feeling is due to allergens (as opposed to flu issues), nothing cuts it faster for me than YL Thieves Lozenges!! Learned that at one of Young Living’s farms in Idaho a few years ago during a particularly dry summer. My YL Thieves capsules I made up with the essential oil weren’t working instantaneously as I’m accustomed. But a few days later, another awesome distributor arrived with the lozenges in tote. And bam! that was the answer I was looking for. Good lesson, great healing, awesome harvest!! AND the best memories!
smell the roses

I’ve heard from folks who made it back from their last breath, that heaven smells like roses. Rose oil carries the highest frequency of all the essential oils and, therefore, the most transporting for an emotional and spiritual uplift. What a beautiful gift to own a bottle of the most pure YL Rose oil to pass down through your heritage, along with a love note what the oil meant to you! If you only smell the oil and reseal it tightly, it will remain potent for thousands of years of grandchildren hearing your story. Of course, on days like today when the clouds aren’t the only thing feeling gray, my bottle is open and dripping, as Dr. Wayne Dyer taught, into my bellybutton!! Priceless!

Oregano is one of the powerful oils supporting nerve health that’s included in Young Living’s Raindrop Series; a real multi-tasker! A few years back, I had a less-than-petite mole and, about to head out on a YL Leadership Cruise, I sure didn’t want it in my picture memories. So on others’ testimonies, I applied a drop of YL Oregano oil morning and night directly to this mole large enough to charge rent. After a couple weeks or so, the delicate skin surrounding it became pink and sensitive. I could have protected the area with a drop of YL V-6 Massage Oil so that the essential oil would absorb more slowly but I just stopped applying for awhile. Shortly after starting up again applying Oregano, the skin was itching as you know healing skin does and when I reached to scratch, that was the last memories of that tenant. Fell off no drama, no scar.

Have you played with your food lately?!
I sure have and the instant gratification that comes from mixing up our own sauces, dips, and dressings. Well, I’ve played enough to prove my position that no one is perfect .
So here’s my best tip…. when you are adding one of the hot oils like YL Oregano oil or YL Thyme oil to season dipping sauce for your homemade fish tacos, rather than drip a full drop of essential oil directly into your yogurt base to flavor, drip the oil
- FIRST into a souvenir shot glass with a teaspoon of water or olive oil.
- THEN you can control the strength by adding a drop or two of the now flavored liquid!
All is well; it turned out to be a good night to try takeout pizza that unfortunately reminded us that my cooking isn’t so bad!!

Remember to keep a couple roll-on options beside your bed too! YL RutaVaLa Roll-on is great for encouraging sleep and another favorite is my YL Tranquil Roll-on; nice as a cologne. I had been waking with the most excruciating pain in the muscles atop my elbow ever since a blood test a few months ago. ‘Tranquil’ to the rescue since you don’t have to be very awake to figure out how to take off the cap and, you know, roll….on!

My precious brother-in-law will tell you! Tip your head back each morning and allow a single drop of YL Sacred Frankincense essential oil to land on the middle of your tongue. One drop will do! Frankincense is repeatedly documented for results against cancers and this honors prevention. And how about support to the brain? I learned this week of a girl just starting junior high when she was diagnosed with an egg sized tumor on her brainstem. The doctors were able to remove half of the tumor and honored her own decision that, for her, it didn’t feel right to continue western treatments. Instead, she said she put a drop of Frankincense on her tongue and pressed it against the roof of her mouth; every two hours. By second semester, she was able to join her classmates cancer free. I say “expensive, is not getting your money’s worth”. YL Frankincense is my big bargain!!
